This week has been good. No job yet, although I've been sending in lots of inquiries and applications... maybe it's the out-of-state phone number that spooks them. Who knows. Last weekend I did sign up for a casting agency in town; hopefully I'll get to be on some cool TV shows! woohoo! It's a lot of work, calling this hotline, and then trying to call this person, who might say, "No, you're not what we're looking for" and hang up and then you have to do the whole process again. Lucky for me, I have a fair bit of free time.
This week on Monday one of our friends from Bloomington came to visit LA and has been crashing on our couch; it's nice to have people around! I enjoy playing hostess. On Tuesday, Harper (who also lives in my apartment, he's from IU, he's pretty cool =) ), his girlfriend Alyssa, and the Btown friend (Jeff) went to The Price is Right, and Harper got to "come on down!" He won a lot of prizes, but you'll have to watch on April 20th to see just what he won. Patrick and I went on Wednesday, but we didn't get called down (cue the Price Is Right sad music "bum-bum-ba-baaaawwwwnnnnn") but Drew Carey was really funny and we had a good time anyways. You might be able to see us in the audience (we were in the second row, right near Contestants Row!) if you watch on April 21st.

In other news: I finally got my California license and my car re-titled. Here she is (her name is Kopila, I think Mum and I decided on) with her new CA plates!
And last but not least, I finished off the week with a trip to Mexico with Harper, Alyssa, and Jeff (Patrick had to work). Harper has a friend who has a beach-front house (and that means literally that the patio door opens onto the beach--it was amazing!) so we just went down for the weekend. It was cool to be able to go so easily--the house was only a three hour drive away. The beach was black sparkly sand and the waves were well too cold to swim in, but we built fires (in a fire pit and a fire place, not just randomly about) and played guitar and chatted and all that kind of cool stuff. We were also able to go to a market in a nearby town--I got myself a ceramic bird since I don't have Dana and Dio anymore. It was a wonderful trip.
